Online Publishing websites for Writers

Many writers nowadays join websites that pools them together. They then get to share resources and help each other better their skills. Their works are published for free and best of all, almost instantly.

Helium for example, has contests where writers compete with each other on given topics and the winner is awarded monetary prize. Each writer has a profile where they have an about me page, Articles page, and credentials. One can write on any niche really, from Poetry, short stories, humour to serious stuff like how to articles.

Wikinut is another example. Unlike Helium, the topics here are not controlled. One can write on anything that they feel like. Then again, there is no competition among the authors. It is also a paying website and free to join. If you are a writer or an aspiring writer, then this is the place to be. Get published and paid.

Both websites use PayPal as their method of payment. You should therefore create a PayPal account if you do not have one already if you want to benefit from these websites. Whichever you choose to join, remember to represent yourself well. You never know, You might just land a full time paying job or get steady online income!
